Does LingoFizz work without the internet?+

An internet connection is needed for translation. Speech recognition can also require an online service, depending on your browser or device.

Can it translate while my screen is locked?+

Hands-free mode is intended for use while the app is open and visible. Background or locked-screen listening is not currently guaranteed.

Can I change direction mid-conversation?+

Yes. In Solo mode, tap the swap control. In two-person conversation mode, choose which person is speaking and LingoFizz translates in the right direction automatically.

Can I use LingoFizz without installing an APK?+

Absolutely. Open the web translator in Chrome on Android. You can also install it to your home screen as a Progressive Web App.

Is it suitable for confidential conversations?+

Not at present. Text is sent to an external translation service, and speech recognition may use a browser provider. Avoid sharing confidential or sensitive information.
